A DAILY PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN

     Lord, You said we should train up our children in the ways of the Lord when they are young, so that when they grow old they will not depart from those ways.  So, we bring our kids before You today, Lord.

We pray that You will bless them and keep them safe.  Father, bless them so that they can go out and be a blessing to others.

We plead for them, on behalf of the blood of Your Son.  Form a hedge of protection around them.

You said that You would be with them in their going out and their coming in.  You will bless them in the city and in the country.  Your blessings will chase them down, overtake them and whatever they touch will prosper.

Father, You said that you have a plan for them, a plan for good and not for disaster; to give them  hope and a future.  We declare by faith that our children will live in the Divine protection of the Lord and they will be in perfect health (spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally) all the days of their lives.

Lord, please give our children wisdom in all things.

Father, we ask for Your love to become an experience in their hearts and that they would intimately know the love of Christ that passes knowledge.

Father, we pray for salvation, a growth in grace, love, honesty, integrity, self control, a love for Your Word, justice, mercy, a respect for others, a strong Biblical self-esteem, faithfulness, a passion for God, as well as hope, responsibility, generosity, peace, humility, compassion, perseverance, prayerfulness, contentment, faith and joy.

Lord we pray that they will have a heart for missions, a servant’s heart, a willingness and ability to work hard, kindness, purity, courage and self-discipline.  We pray that the enemy will not harm them.  We ask for good friends and influences in their lives.  We declare that they will be uninterested in people, habits and ways that are displeasing to You.

We pray that our children will regard their bodies as the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, may Your will be done in every area of their lives.  We declare in the name of Jesus that all these things will be permanently sealed within our children and their descendants all the days of their lives.

Lord, please impart wisdom to all parents and caregivers.

We thank You and give You all the praise, honour and glory.  In  Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
